BUCCS DROP A DUAL TO VERSAILLES

COVINGTON – Covington hosted Versailles’ high school and junior high teams on Thursday evening, while honoring seniors Jack Blumenstock, Aveyen Meek and Kaden Thompson.  Both teams found themselves behind early due to forfeits but put forth great effort while dropping duals to the more experienced Tigers, with the high school dropping their dual 63-15 and the jr. high dropping their dual 62-9.

In high school action, Isaiah Mumford (126 lbs.) earned a 20-3 technical fall, Caleb Ryman (150) earned an 18-1 technical fall, while Trentin Havenar (215) earned a 19-4 technical fall.

Mason Ouellette (86) won a 9-2 decision, Weston Roth (132) won a 7-3 decision, and Haydan Wintrow won by forfeit.

Covington high school returns to action on Friday, January 24, at the Lima Central Catholic Invitational, while the junior high competes this Saturday, January 18, at the Mechanicsburg Invitational.
