The 1992-93 wrestling team had a solid season by finishing with a 14-13 record in dual meets and an overall record of 47-36 fro a winning percentage of 53%.

The Buccs placed second in the league meet (CCC), fourth at Northeastern, fourth at Tri-Village and third at West Liberty-Salem. Covington finished 8th out of 18 teams in the Sectional Tournament and had four wrestlers qualify for the District Tournament; Jason Durbin, Todd Vanderhorst, Brad Crumpler and Corey Turner. Brad Crumpler qualified for state by finishing runner-up at the District Tournament in the 103 pound weight class.

Post season awards went to Brad Crumpler (Most Valuable Wrestler), Jason Durbin (Rookie of the Year), Rob Immel (Most Improved), Corey Turner and Todd Vanderhorst (Coach’s Award).

Brad Crumpler set three new individual records for a season with 123 takedowns, 24 pins, and 212 points.
