The 1995-96 Buccaneers had another successful season with a 18-7 dual meet record, 59-17 record in tournament action and an overall record of 77-24 for a winning percentage of 76%, which is the fourth best winning percentage in the history of the program.

The Buccaneers won the Cross County Conference Championships as a team and had ten wrestlers win individual titles and four finished runner-up in the league meet. Eight wrestlers placed at Sectionals and advanced to the District Tournament.

Senior Eric Hunt qualified for state for the second time in his career at 145 pounds. He previously made it to state in 1994 as a sophomore. He also won a Sectional Title.

The Buccs won the Covington Invitational, the Mississinawa Valley Invitational and finished 3rd at the Milton-Union Invitational, which featured 5 of the top Division III teams in the state. Covington was also ranked 5th in the Greater Miami Valley Coach’s Poll.

Jason Durbin set 6 individual records and Paul Post set one record. Seven team members made the Greater Miami Valley All-Area Team.
